The people
Meet Rob & Kris
An expert and an interviewer — the authority who’s lived it, and the guide who draws it out. Together they make the room feel safe enough for a real shift.
Rob · Resident expert & coach
The “health + wealth” guide
Rob has been across the table from business owners, couples, and individuals since 1973 — first assessing risk, then coaching the people behind it, and now working at the intersection of health and wealth after a turnaround of his own.
He started in November 1973 as a field underwriter for Metropolitan Life, assessing health risk — which, up close, turned out to be mostly life risk: stress tolerance, money, career, relationships. As he added licenses and took on the full range of business risk, the same pattern held. Nearly every exposure traced back to human behavior and choice — interpersonal skill, leadership, resilience under pressure — and those choices decided how the business turned out. Business coaching followed in the mid-1980s, life coaching in the early 1990s, wellness coaching in 2008, and a Harvard Medical School certificate in lifestyle coaching in 2026.
In December 2006, in his mid-fifties, Rob weighed 308 pounds and his A1C sat between 9 and 10. Within ninety days his glucose readings were back in normal range without medication. By February 2008 he weighed 172 and his A1C was 5.6. He’s open about the struggle behind those numbers, and it’s that lived experience, paired with decades of business consulting, that lets him coach at the intersection of health and wealth. His results are his own; what he offers you is the process, not a promise.
His approach centers on character, self-mastery, personal responsibility, and mutual respect — always inside a warm, judgment-free space. The belief underneath all of it: it’s never too late to begin.

Kris · Producer & co-host
Your voice in the room
Kris is the producer of Shift Happens Here and Rob’s co-pilot on a journey of growth, resilience, and possibility. She keeps it human — asking the questions you’d ask, drawing Rob out, and making sure each conversation lands somewhere you can use.
With a background spanning business, public health, project management, and communications, Kris has seen firsthand the challenges people face — from health concerns and financial pressures to relationship struggles and life’s unexpected setbacks. Through all of it, she stays inspired by the resilience of the human spirit, and the hope people hold onto even in the hardest times.
When Rob — a longtime family friend and business associate — shared his vision for the show, Kris saw a chance to help create something with real impact. Together, they launched Shift Happens Here.
She brings empathy, intuition, kindness, and humor to every conversation, creating a welcoming space where stories become insights, challenges become opportunities, and listeners are inspired to take their next step forward.
Why the two of them, together
Expert + interviewer
Rob brings the experience and the hard-won story — the teaching, and the coaching itself. Kris brings the curiosity and the care, keeping every conversation human and making sure it lands somewhere you can use. One without the other is only half a show.
